Gap — the number of shows the band played between one
performance of this song and the one before it.
← → the songs either
side, played as separate songs. > and
–> are phish.net’s own marks, and mean the
band ran them together rather than stopping between them.

2021-10-23SatNorth Island Credit Union AmphitheatreChula Vista, CAHighly rated 87 · ListenJam chartA very neat and surprising -> out of "Fluffhead", and a tremendous jam befitting the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre. After an extended take on the usual "NICU" jam, Mike suggests minor key and things get good and dark, before they slide into something more tropical, allowing Trey to weave in the "NICU" solo we all know and love (as he will several times in this show). The band snaps into a quicksilver groove at Fish's urging, which gives way to an effects-laden pitch-black zone, before briefly brightening and then dissolving into ambiance and a wonderful -> to a surprise "Bye Bye Foot". Nearly twice as long as any other "NICU", and well worth the run time. Before / afterFluffhead ->-> Bye Bye FootGap19SET 1

Jam chartUnfinished? Maybe. Or, -> from "Jam" and -> an unfinished "Slave," simply part of a crazy point in history where a clearly 'distracted' band works through the song as best as they are able before creating a bouncy, Page-crazy, chord-laden (Trey) version marked by wide open space; strange changes; eerie 'underwater' overtones; sparse - yet pointed - Fish; and groovy Mike. Must hear, and more than once. Before / afterJam-> Slave to the Traffic LightGap12SET 2

Jam chart-> in from a jammed out "Halley's." A rhythmic oriented outro jam morphs into a beautiful Page solo which -> to "Slave."
