Check out the show for more details, but in lieu of "thanking" Mr. Minor, Trey aborts the song and ->'s into "Free". The band unleashes, resulting in one of the finest performances since 95. The jam is marked by great improvisation "inside" the version, that sort of shimmering Summer 97 "funk" aided by guest percussionist Bob Gullotti, a musician perfect for this "Free" - or any other.

    Jam chart(On Live Bait 24) The second extended, highly improvisational "Free." An absolute tour-de-force, few Phish jams are as raw and intense as the Landover Free: almost uncomfortably so. Arising from rancor between Trey and Fish following a botched introduction to “Rift,” this multi-sectioned jam explores emotions of anger, contempt, release, and ultimately reconciliation over its 30+ minute voyage -- with Trey making three excursions to his mini-kit to spar with Fish (most notoriously when the rest of the band is ready to play “Bouncing” and Trey says no). Absurdly must-hear. Also includes "No Quarter" teases and a "BATR" tease. -> to "Llama."
